Mobile robot SOTO wins Best of Industry Award 2024

Hamburg / Würzburg. 17 January – The SOTO mobile robot from Jungheinrich subsidiary Magazino has won the prestigious Best of Industry Award 2024 in the robotics category. Around 20,000 votes from the industry decided the winner. The SOTO impressed as a smart solution for automated material supply and secured first place with a convincing majority of votes. The choice emphasises the high practical benefits and innovative strength of the robot and reflects the real needs of the industry.
SOTO stands out with its flexible handling of up to 14 small load carriers (SLCs) of different sizes, its precise gripper technology with height adjustment from 400 to 1,700 mm and a 180-degree rotation function. Real-time material tracking and state-of-the-art sensor technology ensure safe collaboration with people and make SOTO a future-proof solution for complex production environments.
The Best of Industry Award has been presented annually to outstanding industrial innovations since 2016. This year, 51 pioneering solutions were up for election in 15 categories. For the first time, the Best of Industry Award was presented in cooperation with other Vogel Communications Group brands, allowing an even broader section of the industry to be represented. The award ceremony took place on 16 January 2025 in Würzburg.
